Mohammad Rashed Alam Bhuiyan
Mohammad Rashed Alam Bhuiyan is an Assistant Professor of Political Science, University of Dhaka and part-time Research Fellow of RMMRU. He is an experienced migration researcher and involved with the studies on climate change-induced migration in Bangladesh, resilient and inclusive urban development and urban informal settlements, migration and adaptation of Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna delta and sustainable cities.
Mr. Bhuiyan writes on climate change induced as well as other forms of internal and international migration issues, well-being and human security issues of migrants, political economy, market regulation and governance issues. Recently he has contributed in the field of adaptation to climate change and with a Routledge publication on how mobility associated with climatic events helps in building the resilience of households. Currently, he is pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Development at the University of Exeter, UK. He will coordinate the fieldwork in Bangladesh study sites for the MISTY project.
